On Sleep

Yesterday, I left work for choir at 7:00, got home at 9:15 and thought, I'd better write a quick blog and do some more work to be ready for a meeting tomorrow.
I got 6 hours of sleep, yawned and caffeined my way through the meeting, checked off a few more to-dos before lunch, then took a 45 minute nap in the Grad Students' Society office.
I'm not whining, this is a busy time in my PhD with my candidacy approaching soon enough, and I've got to get data in. Nap notwithstanding I put in well over eight today, but I've had some lazy days in my past, and I need to catch up.
And that's why I'm keeping the blog "scroll free" today (at least on PC). Sleep is important, and when this is nothing but added stress, I need to learn to skip it. Expect more of that as I become more comfortable.
Goodnight!
