5 points on sports for the rest of the year, given what's happened from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours or so.
1. I was very invested in whether the Flames would make the playoffs. After that, anything could happen in the pacific division. I also REALLY wanted to see a battle of Alberta in the playoffs, so I hope they find a way to make that happen.
2. If they can't award the championship in the NBA, that definitely means the Raptors retain it as the reigning champs, right. They should have another parade, just in a neutral space... with no fans.
3. The premier league needs to carry on for two more weeks, Liverpool will get two more wins to clinch the title, and then they can immediately finish the season, for all I care.
4. Japan's probably invested a lot in these Olympics and is relying on at least some tourist dollars to show for it. Plus there were so many stories I was looking to watch, maybe surrounding the new Nike shoes in the marathon. If they do cancel it, they should hold the Olympics in 2021 instead. Crazy, sure, but who cares, make it happen.
5. I want to run a marathon this year, but now I'm not willing to pay ahead of time until I feel pretty sure they'll actually go through with it.
