Hell to Pay

This fourth hell remains socially permissable.
This is the hell of crime and punishment,
But on a divine scale.
This hell is very close to a judge,
Weighing evidence and dealing out sentences,
Ensuring the safety of society,
And keeping justice in the realm.
But it's hell because of one mandatory minimum.
If found guilty, the convicted will be
Infected with disease,
Struck blind,
and starved.
Their children:
Torn apart by beasts,
Sold into slavery
And eaten by those they love.
They will be forced to eat their children as well.
Their spouse:
Taken and raped,
Then murdered by their enemies.
They will then be forced to serve these masters,
Naked and hungry, and afraid.
Before their death.*
Then the process will repeat
Ad Infinitum
To wish this on someone
Surpasses evil.
Thank the Marquis de Sade for the needed.
A God capable of repeating this infinitely
Is of course infinitely more evil than the sadist
Capable of doing this once.
The millions who worship this system
Are not evil.
Not as a rule.
But this worship is evil.
This is the most basic of the infinite hells,
in which only the guilty are cast to this hell
To pay for their crime.
Alas, for the dichotomy of the heavenly court.
There is no grey of wicked,
There is only one punishment,
and so we have truly surpassed evil now.
